Becoming the Best Testing Management Team in the Industry


We recently shared that QA Consultants won Testing Management Team of the Year at the 2022 North American Software Testing Awards, beating Deloitte, IBM, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra. We are humbled to have secured this title for the second year in a row, as it recognizes that our projects are led and delivered by the best testing management team in the quality assurance industry. With our 100% focus on quality engineering and constant pursuit of innovation, we have demonstrated an industry-leading ability to adapt and pivot to meet the needs of our clients, year after year.

In addition to winning Testing Management Team of the Year, we were also finalists in five other categories at the North American Software Testing Awards: Best Agile Project, Best Testing Project in Retail, Graduate Tester of the Year, Testing Manager of the Year, and Best Testing Team of the Year.

Our Journey

The Testing Management Team of the Year award is the culmination of a journey that began two years ago, when we set our sights on a new goal: to develop the best software testing team in the world, which would not only benefit our clients but also push the industry as a whole.

To achieve this, we understood that we needed a major transformation of the team, including its identity, culture, and corporate mindset. The pandemic, of course, made this more challenging. Faster cycle times, shorter time-to-market, and optimized customer experiences became business critical for companies across industries, and demand for QA Consultants’ software quality engineering services skyrocketed.

Thanks to our focus on the craft of quality, and our commitment to help customers build and design the best software, we met that challenge – the team has achieved significant growth milestones since 2020, which only underscore the value we provided to a dynamic client base. Our own internal transformation, however, was still underway.

Over the last year, the QA Consultants team was restructured to focus on four main pillars: delivery, quality engineering transformation, technology and test automation, and the research and development division, called EmTech (Emerging Technologies) team. We assigned experts with over 20 years of experience in consulting and software testing to lead each pillar, and then structured the team into Squads and Leagues, ensuring a high level blend of key skills and experience in technical and strategic quality engineering, effective communication and management, leadership, industry expertise, and more. Using this innovative approach, we have doubled our staff and dramatically reduced training time, allowing highly skilled teams to quickly get involved in complex and technical projects. Our goal to become the undisputed leader in this exciting new era of software testing is on track, and this latest North American Software Testing award is further validation of our efforts.
