Toronto, Ontario – as an innovative partner in the development of Canada’s first, original, full-build, zero-emission concept vehicle, Project Arrow, with a 2024 BIG Innovation Award — a prestigious award program managed by the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) that recognizes the people, organizations, and ideas changing how people experience the world.
Project Arrow is an award-winning, future-looking product that dramatically advances the automotive industry. Designed, engineered, and built entirely in Canada, with the participation of 60 world-class automotive suppliers, including QA Consultants (QAC) and post-secondary institutions, the project is spearheaded by the Automotive Parts Manufacturer’s Association (APMA). QAC – one of North America’s most recognized performance, quality, and cybersecurity engineering firms — led the cybersecurity architecture and integration of the state-of-the-art cybersecurity services within the Arrow vehicle, which is a vital factor in its design and development.
Over 600 nominations were received from around the globe, and winners were chosen by a select group of business leaders and executives who volunteer their time and expertise to vet submissions based on innovative solutions, function, and positive impact in their industry.
“QAC is honored to be a part of such a significant project – for Canada and the entire automotive industry,” said Peter Watkins, Chief Operations Officer and founder of QA Consultants. “Not only is Project Arrow meeting the national guidelines for a zero-emissions future, but it is setting the bar for the world’s leading automotive manufacturers to future-proof the personal transportation industry and protect our global environment for generations to come. We are excited to see Project Arrow come to fruition and look forward to participating in Phase 2.0 of this exciting initiative.”
The Project Arrow automotive concept is a bold, innovative solution answering Prime Minister Trudeau’s call for a Zero-Emissions future by 2050 that brings together the best of the best of Canada’s electric-drive, alternative-fuel, connected, autonomous, and light-weight technology companies. Other partners involved in the concept development include: Autodesk, BASF, Lenovo, META, Microsoft, Siemens, Toyota, and others.
QAC and the Project Arrow team are honored alongside a prestigious lineup of other world-class, innovative honorees, including Cisco, IBM, Bausch + Lomb, Capgemini, Norton, Paychex, ADP, Microsoft, Google, and dozens of others.
