Paula Fernandes previously served as Director at Drone Delivery Canada, Talent Leader at Richter and before that worked at PwC in their Human Capital Division. She joined QAC in January 2022 where she leads the HR function. She is responsible for building and implementing the company’s talent strategy including attraction, retention, total compensation strategies, learning and employee experience. Paula has over two decades of experience with many aspects of the Human Resources portfolio in the Financial, IT and Professional services industries. Her broad range of skills includes compensation strategies, leading business professional transformation, talent strategies and organizational design. Paula engages with senior stakeholders providing a strategic perspective on business and talent issues and exhibits excellent knowledge of transformational issues. She is deeply committed to working in a collaborative, transparent and inclusive manner, which allows her to build lasting relationships with employees at all levels. In her spare time, Paula loves to read (fiction and non-fiction), build puzzles, gym and spend time with her family.
